PETA-ROSE HALL, MANAGING DIRECTOR

Peta-Rose Hall has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry and has held the position of Managing Director, BPM Financial Limited, since 2008. Prior to assuming this role, Peta-Rose worked with Barita Investments Ltd., where she held various positions including Trader, Account Executive, Director of Research and Director of Marketing.

In 1993, with the goal of inspiring wise financial decisions and delivering outstanding value to customers, Barita Portfolio Management Ltd., was formed, and in 2008, the company rebranded as BPM Financial Ltd. Initially, the company focused on institutional clients, providing investment portfolios for pension funds and endowment funds, but later the company broadened its reach and offered a range of investment portfolios to individuals and corporate clients who wanted to build their assets.

Peta-Rose holds a B. Ed. (Hons) from the University of London, where she specialized in Early Childhood Education, and an M.B.A. from Columbia University where she specialized in Finance and Marketing. She is a Certified Investment Manager and holds qualifications from the Canadian Securities Institute. Passionate about education, Peta-Rose is the Chairman of The STEP Centre, a school for children with multiple disabilities, and is a Trustee of the American International School Kingston (AISK). She is a Founding member of the Pension Funds Association of Jamaica and is a past President and member of the Jamaica Chapter of the International Women’s Forum, which is a global group of 8,000+ pre-eminent women leaders across 33 countries.

Peta-Rose is passionate about building financial literacy and is the weekly co-host of RJR’s “Money Talk” with Emily Shields; a programme that provides meaningful and practical information about financial planning and managing money effectively. Passionate about informing members of the workforce about the importance of participating in a pension plan, Peta-Rose is also the weekly co-host of “Retirement Wealth Creation”, with Ralston Hyman and Andrea Sutherland, on “Real Business”, Power 106 FM.

BPM Financial Ltd. has as part of its mandate, promoting financial literacy, and sponsors financial literacy programmes “Every Mickle Makes A Muckle” on Mello FM and “Dollars & Cents” on Love 101 FM, with the aim of making investments accessible to the average person.
